ANALYTICAL
LAB

Precision in
Every Particle

An analytical laboratory is designed to test, identify, and quantify the chemical and physical properties of materials, serving a vital role in quality assurance, reverse engineering, and regulatory compliance across Platinum Industries Ltd. To achieve this, these labs utilize a range of advanced techniques and instruments, such as:

  • Chemical Analysis: Techniques like titration, colorimetry, and other advanced methods to analyze complex mixtures and trace elements.
  • Physical Analysis: Tools such as microscopes for assessing material shape, size, and defects; X-ray fluorescence (XRF) for elemental analysis; and viscometers for evaluating flow behavior and microstructure.
  • Chromatography and Spectroscopy: High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) for analyzing organic compounds and validating formulation purity.
  • Thermal Analysis: Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) to measure melting points, glass transition temperatures, and gelation ratios.

This lab empowers us to decode complex formulations and deliver data-driven solutions.

Chemical
Synthesis Lab

Engineering
Excellence

Our Chemical Synthesis Lab is a specialized facility designed to carry out controlled chemical reactions for the synthesis of new oleochemical compounds, supporting research, development, and production efforts. In addition, we have established a dedicated in-house pilot facility to produce a diverse range of products tailored to specific requirements.

Our team of experts develops advanced internal and external lubricants, along with slip, processing, and dispersing agents—all engineered to improve material flow and filler dispersion in plastic products.

Moreover, we are committed to creating organic-based, heavy metal-free stabilizers that enhance environmental safety, contributing to the manufacture of safer and more sustainable PVC products.

Key features and equipment of our Chemical Synthesis Lab:

  • Reaction Vessels and Reactors: Specialized pilot plant reactor setups, such as reflux systems and stirred reactors.
  • Analytical Instruments: Access to a separate analytical lab for immediate and thorough characterization of synthesized products.
  • Safety Equipment: Comprehensive safety infrastructure including fume hoods, safety cabinets, air-handling systems, and personal protective gear to ensure safe operations with hazardous materials.

This state-of-the-art lab empowers chemists to perform complex syntheses with high precision and safety, driving innovation—particularly in the fields of oleochemicals and lubricants.

Every formulation is designed with sustainability, safety, and scalability in mind.

CPVC Lab

Built for
Endurance

Our CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) Lab is a specialized facility dedicated to testing and analyzing CPVC additives and dry blends to ensure consistent quality, reliable performance, and adherence to industry standards.

The lab performs a comprehensive range of material property tests, including:

  • Rheology: Evaluation of Brabender torque, gelation behavior, and dynamic thermal stability of various dry blends and additives. Melt Flow Index measurements are used to assess flow characteristics at specified temperatures.
  • Mechanical Testing: Assessment of compounds and dry blends for impact resistance, tensile strength, and Vicat softening points. Low-temperature dart impact testing is also conducted to evaluate toughness under cold conditions.
  • Physical Testing: Determination of density, flowability, and particle size distribution through sieve analysis.

Our CPVC lab is equipped with controlled temperature chambers, compression molding machines for sample preparation, and film preparation equipment to support detailed material analysis.

At Platinum, innovation isn’t a buzzword—it’s our promise. With relentless focus on quality and sustainability, we don’t just follow industry standards—we set them.

Our CPVC innovations are trusted across industries for their resilience and performance.
